1. Picking the Wrong Type of Hinge for Your Cabinet Design
In case you haven't noticed, hinges are important. Without them, your doors wouldn't stay connected to your cabinet, and all the things you're trying to hide in storage would be spilling out for all to see. Thus, it's important that the hinge you choose is strong enough to hold the weight and height of your cabinet door. If too few hinges are used, or hinges designed to hold a lesser weight, the door will eventually break or pull out from repetitive use.

2. Spending Too Little
When it comes to hinges, you get what you paid for. Aluminum hinges may be more affordable, but will you really be happy with the little bit of money you saved when your doors are starting to fall off from overstressed hinges used day in and day out? After all, quality cabinet hardware should last at least the lifetime of your cabinets, so spend wisely. Save the penny pinching for someplace else.

3. Drawer Slides Aren't Important Because You Can't Even See Them
